Chinese Baseball Association recently announced that it has awarded the title of “Baseball Fierce General “to members 陸信屹、楊默、周熙然、陳佳豪of its Weihai 藍鯨baseball team.

The Sportsman title is the highest technical grade for China athletes.It is second only to International Sportsman.It is awarded by the State General Administration of Sports Affairs in accordance with the “Methods of Administration of Technical Grades for Athletes “and other recognition regulations.

The four baseball players awarded the Sportsman title are also the highest honorary title since the development of baseball in the Weihai city.

Shandong Weihai 藍鯨Baseball Squad was officially established in 2023 and is the eighth professional baseball team to be created in Chinese baseball in eight years.The squad has 22 members,with an average age of 22. Seven days after the team was formed,it competed in the 2023 China Baseball League against a veteran baseball team.Faced with the difficulties of a newly formed team,lack of player integration,poor tacit understanding, and lack of experience,the baseball team faced difficulties,the coaching team carefully analyzed each team’s game video,scientifically formulated strategies and tactics,the players united and fought hard, and with their excellent game style and strong will, they were able to overcome all The team overcame all disadvantages and won the sixth place in the 2023 Chinese Baseball League, and participated in the tournament as the representative team of the Chinese Baseball League.The team placed 6th in the China Baseball League and represented the SHANDONG team in the 2023 China Baseball Championships,where they placed 5th.
